Gym

Members that use the gym would have noticed that we have had various pieces of equipment out of order. We use an external contractor who is responsible for all the servicing and maintenance of the equipment who have, unfortunately, experienced several challenges with their own supply chain. As a result, there has been a delay in parts subsequently coming out to us. We can assure you that this is equally as frustrating for us, and we have constantly been chasing them to confirm dates when items will be fixed. However, we do have some good news and we are expecting an engineer to visit us on Thursday 26th January to carry out a large amount of repair work to any outstanding jobs.

We have also added some extra items into the gym this week, including new yoga blocks, stability balls and various handles for the equipment.

As we move into the year, further improvements will continue to be made but appreciate your patience.

Spin Studio

We are thrilled to inform you all that we have purchased 25 new spin bikes and includes the latest technology that will enhance greatly our group cycle sessions.

We will hopefully have the bikes in place before the end of January.

Timetable Review & My Wellness App

We are currently undertaking a timetable review and are hoping to launch these in February. This will include some additional classes and some changes to the way we run our virtual offering. Any class changes will be updated on the My Wellness App for members to see and book.

We have also updated the My Wellness App to make the member’s journey a little smoother.

You should now notice a small “Equipment” header at the top of your App Home screen. This will show you how many of the CV machines are currently free at any one time, helping you plan your visit and workout better.

We’ve also added the more popular classes to our “Featured Classes” section on the homepage making it easier and quicker for members to locate those classes. Over the coming months, we will continue to work on the App to make further improvements to the member’s journey.

Virtual Classes

To make the booking process easier, we are removing the need to book for any of our virtual sessions. As a result, these will be removed from the My Wellness App.

The timetabled classes will continue to be displayed outside the studios for members to view and join as they feel necessary.

We will also be removing all timetabled virtual classes between 11.00 - 16.00 and will be replacing them with the “On Demand” feature. This will allow members to select a specific class or workout and use the studios at their own leisure.

Simply, tap the screen on the outside of the studio and select your workouts.

We have also added some new classes to the Les Mills timetable which will be added into the timetable.

Bardolino’s New Menu

We are pleased to announce that Matt Hartley has started as our New Head Chef in Bardolino.

Matt comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge and as is currently working on a new menu which we hope to be able to launch in the Spring. He will be looking to bring in some exciting new dishes that we cannot wait to share with you.

In the meantime, there will be daily specials in addition to the already popular Wicked Wednesday, Thursday’s Burger Night, and the newly introduced Pasta Fridays.

General

We will be refreshing various areas of the building over the coming months, and whilst we will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum, for some jobs we may have to change areas around.

As a result of the above planned maintenance, we will be swapping the Male and Female changing rooms around between 30th January – 5th February 2023 to allow our team to gain access.
