Girls Football Scores with New Sponsorship Deal

Yatton Junior Football Club U10s and U12s Girls’ teams have now received backing from The Club & Spa at Cadbury House which has provided funding for both teams’ new kit.

With 33 players on its books, the teams play matches against other clubs from across North Somerset and Bristol on Sundays and train on Friday evenings.

Playing out of its Rock Road ground in Yatton, the Junior Football Club (JFC) relies on backing from local businesses allowing funds to be used on other items such as balls, goals and nets.

Nigel Jones, manager of the Girls Under 12s is delighted with the support and is looking forward to continued success and attracting more young players to take up the sport.

Nigel said: “It’s great to receive the backing from The Club and Spa at Cadbury House and I’d like to express my thanks on behalf of the team.

“The football club provides a vital outlet for the local community giving young boys and girls the chance to get regular exercise while having fun simultaneously.”

Chairman of Yatton JFC Jimmy Bellis added: “On the back of the Lionesses winning the Euros earlier in the year, we’ve had a marked increase in the number of young girls wanting to join the club and is great to see. Support from local businesses really does help clubs like ours thrive and allows us to provide opportunities to local children.”

Jason Eaton, general manager at The Club & Spa at Cadbury House and who coaches the boys under 15s added: “The majority of the staff here live locally and understand the importance of supporting local clubs. It forms part of our day-to-day activity and cements the venue’s relationship with the community. We wish the team the very best for the season ahead and who knows, there might be a future Lioness starting her career here in North Somerset.”
